A farm to skin brand needs a farm.
We named our farm Colorado Aromatics because of the aromatic herbs we grow here and use in our skin care line of the same name. We are located in a beautiful place in Colorado with a view of Longs and Meeker Peaks. We love living and working here.
We use organic practices on our farm and are Certified Naturally Grown (CNG). CNG is a grass roots alternative to organic that is a great alternative for small farms. You can read about it in my blog here.
Lavender is one of our main crops, but we grow over 30 different herbs/vegetables that we use in skin care. Some of these include calendula, mint, cucumber, lemon balm, rose, raspberry leaf, and comfrey. Some of these we distill for aromatic waters. Others we extract using oil, water or alcohol. Because we use these herbs in our skin care products we call it ‘Farm to Skin’. You can purchase our lavender products here.
We also have chickens and angora goats on our farm and occasionally will host additional animals. Animals are vital to our soil health by providing manure.

Events
We periodically have events on our farm. These have included Farm to Table Dinners, Farm Yoga, Wellness Talks and Farm Tours. Contact us if you are interested in learning about our events that are open to the public or if you would like to schedule a private event. We also do some spa services on the farm. Imagine soaking your feet in our herbal foot soak while taking in the mountain view. We can also arrange for outdoor massage and facial treatments.
Farm Volunteers
We’ve realized (along with most natural farmers) that you cannot keep up a farm during the summer without a team of volunteers. We welcome volunteers on our farm who are hard-working and want to experience the outdoors and farm life with us. We prefer strong people with good backs, but if you don’t fall into that category, we also have less strenuous work such as stripping leaves from stems and grinding herbs. Typically we have 2 days each week for volunteers and like them to do a 3 hour shift. On the farm you will be able to spend time with the herbs and meet new people. We can also put together a more formal intern program if that is what you need. Do contact us if interested.
